Kalayaan Filipino Cultural Organization - Special Children's Fashion Show

The Colourful World of Children’s Fashion Show by KFCO

Twenty one children from toddler to pre-teen had the time of their life as they take part in A Special Children’s Fashion Show which was a fundraising event prepared by the Kalayaan Filipino Cultural Organization (KFCO). The special event was held on September 28, 2014 at the KCCC Grand Hall. Patrons, donors, supportive parents, relatives and invited guests all flocked to witness the adorable children as they walked on the ramp. They modeled the outfits designed by Ms. Rodel Meier who also produced and chaired the successful fashion show. All the dresses worn by the children were comfortable but charming and classy styles appropriate for their playful and sporty growing up age.

Ms. Rodel revealed that it was not easy to dress up all the twenty one kids because each one of them has a preference when it comes to color. Some kids said that they loved the color red while others won’t. Few of them liked pink, black and coral and others loved purple and some of them liked green with yellow and blue thus made Ms. Rodel up to the challenge and came up with elegant fashion apparel in vibrant colors. The fashion show was presented in seven parts which represents each color that the models loved to wear. One of the young models, Alina Sztyber, also rendered a melodious song entitled “When Will My Life Begin” during the interlude. All of the models were very much applauded specially during the finale where they got the chance to do their own courtesy call. The special event ended with more photo shoots as the young models endlessly pose with their family and friends. A light bites and nibbles were also prepared for everyone to partake and enjoy at the end of the show.

This is the third time that Ms. Charity Lim and Ms. Mayette Balbastro have co-organized with Ms. Rodel Meier to present another successful Special Children’s Fashion Show and made possible by the ever hardworking team of KFCO officers, other volunteers and some KCCC officers.
